‘Squid Game’ Halloween Costumes Got a Huge Spike in Sales

by ZeeshanN

According to Netflix co-CEO, the Korean show Squid Game is a huge hit, and it is the biggest show ever.” Not only is the series tense, with life-or-death stakes and enormous plot turns in every episode, but it’s also got all of the makings of a great Halloween costume feed. It aired in mid-September, so it’s still on top of everyone’s brain. It’s got horror elements, with a high body number after each of the show’s brutal “games.” It’s got eye-catching iconography, with immediately recognizable looks for guards, players, and VIPs. And yet, it’s rather easy to throw together a costume at the last minute, since the characters mostly wear normal clothes and masks. If you haven’t decided out what you’re going as this year, pick yourself one of these Squid Game Halloween costumes.

Whether you want to dress as main character Seong Gi-hun (456), the wily Kang Sae-byeok (067) or the villainous Jang Deok-su (101), well, they all pretty much wear the same thing: teal tracksuits, teal baseball tees underneath, and white slip-on shoes. The only thing that divides the characters is their numbers, which you can re-create with iron-on patches.

The activation of this doll-like machine is the primary indication you get that something is off in the actual Squid Game. It looks childish, but if you don’t follow its rules, it becomes a b****. That puts it in the pantheon of spooky doll-like creations, like Chucky or Annabelle. And yet, its clothes look anything but horrifying.
