If you haven’t already heard, FuturLab’s surprise indie hit Powerwash Simulator is getting a physical boxed edition that will be hitting store shelves worldwide. Thanks to a collaboration with publishers Square Enix, FuturLab has managed to expand their small casual cleaning adventure through the strange and dirty city of Muckingham to reach a wider audience.
For those who are unfamiliar with the game, Powerwash Simulator offers a unique experience that lets players wash away their worries with the soothing sounds of high-pressure water. As you play, you’ll build up your washing business by traveling across the sometimes bizarre and strange city of Muckingham. But most importantly, Powerwash Simulator focuses on player relaxation and escapism.
While the game already offers plenty of cleaning options, players can expect even more in the future. The development team has big plans for new content down the pipeline, but in the meantime, the latest update, “Muckingham Files” (Update 1.2), is coming soon on April 18th. This update will introduce new cleaning challenges such as dusting off a Solar Water Plant and a huge Satellite Dish covered in desert sand. After that, players can also clean up a filthy food truck that is spoiling the view of the local park.
Additionally, the developers have updated the lore drops in previous jobs to bring them more in line with the game’s overarching story as well as future updates. So, if you’re a fan of Powerwash Simulator, you’ll definitely want to check out the new “Muckingham Files” update.
Powerwash Simulator is already available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch digitally.
