Check out this very dark animated short film titled Afterwork. The short cities around a character named Groompy, a rabbit playing the hero in a famous cartoon series. His real life isn’t all it’s broken up to be, and this short shows us what life is like for him when he is out of work and nothing to do.
The synopsis explains that his life is “dull and monotonous” and “one night the object he so much desires appears in front of him… the carrot from the cartoons.”
The short film was made by Luis Usón and co-directed by Andrés Aguilar. The short is actually very sad. It’s definitely not according to the holiday mood! But it’s a well-made, enjoyable movie to watch.
