Universal Pictures has released a new video for the upcoming violent holiday action movie Violent Night, which stars David Harbour (Stranger Things) as Santa Claus. In the movie, Santa finds himself brutally battling a crew of criminals who are holding a home hostage on Christmas Eve.
This new video focuses on Santa combat training. In it, MTV Challenge’s Cory Wharton, RDC World’s Mark Phillips, and Watcher’s Ryan Bergara and Shane Madej see if they have what it takes to become a mercenary fighting Santa Claus with the help of the film’s stunt coordinator and 2nd unit director, Jonathan Eusebio.
“When a team of mercenaries breaks into a wealthy family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone inside hostage, the team isn’t prepared for a surprise combatant: Santa Claus is on the grounds, and he’s about to show why this Nick is no saint.”
The movie comes from the producers who brought us Nobody, John Wick, Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, Bullet Train, and Hobbs & Shaw, and it’s described as a “coal-dark holiday action-comedy that says you should always bet on red.”
The film also stars John Leguizamo (John Wick), Cam Gigandet (Without Remorse), Alex Hassell (Cowboy Bebop), Alexis Louder (The Tomorrow War), Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones), and Beverly D’Angelo (National Lampoon’s Vacation franchise).
Violent Night will be released in theaters on December 2nd!
