Spider-Man: No Way Home will be out very soon! The movie comes out next week to be precise and in preparation for it, Marvel and Disney released new TV spots to keep the fans excited, I have to say I am already super excited and no need for more encouragement.
Check out the new TV spots that have been released and they all offer up bits of new footage. One of the most impressive things is the shot of Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin masks broken in an alleyway. This leads to the villainous character getting a new costume. Dafoe said about Green Goblin’s new look:
“[The Goblin suit] looks a little different. Old Norman and the Goblin are further down the line, and they have a few more tricks up their sleeve, so it’s not an exact [replica]. There have been upgrades on the costume, I’d say.”
He went on to talk about his character saying the Goblin “has a case to state this time. He’s trying to make his case, a philosophy of life. It’s not about some kind of abstract, mustache-twirling power grab.” Osborn is heard in the trailer saying, “You’re struggling to have everything you want while the world tries to make you choose.”
“for the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”
The movie stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Alfred Molina as Doc Ock, and Jamie Foxx as Electro, Willem Dafoe back in the role of Green Goblin. Other villains set to appear to include Sandman and Lizard. Other cast members include Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Tony Revolori as Flash, and Hannibal Buress as Coach Wilson.
The Jon Watts-directed Spider-Man: No Way Home is to be released in theaters on December 17, 2021.
