The PS5 will be supporting backwards compatibility with the PS4, and Sony says the large majority of PS4 games will also be playable on the new console. However, there are a few games that will not be compatible, and we now know precisely what they are.
A support page on the official PlayStation website reveals the list of 10 games that will not be playable on PS5. The list comes with some VR content, and it doesn’t feature any big titles. The games you’ll likely want to keep playing when you get your PS5 will be compatible with the PS5. Some of these could be refreshed, however. These also include DWVR, which could be even before the PS5’s release date.

If you want to play on PS5 all you need to do to play the game on the PS5 is put it into the disc drive and maybe download an update. If it’s a digital game, Sony says you’ll be able to use WiFi data transfer, but it didn’t define how this will work. Should there be a PS5 upgrade available, Sony also revealed that process. Even a few PS4 games will see better performance via Game Boost without the upgrading of the PS5.
