The G.I Joe franchise is launching a new game which is called G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout! It’s being made by an indie developer named IguanaBee and it will be released on consoles on October 13th. The last time we got the game from the franchise was 2009’s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra which released with the critically panned movie.
Operation Blackout is a third-person game that allows the player to navigate a story told from both sides. You’ll get to play as both your beloved Joes and Cobra characters. There’ll be a list comprised of 12 characters in total and 17 campaign missions to play through. You also have an armory of almost 20 weapons at your disposal and a collection of character abilities. The game features local co-op for the campaign missions and 4 player local PvP matches.
G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout will hit stores on October 13th for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.
