Developer DigixArt and publisher Ravenscourt have revealed that their 2021 dystopian adventure game Road 96 will be growing into new territory when it comes to PlayStation and Xbox consoles this Spring. The game took home numerous wins at the Pégases Awards, which include the Best Indie Game, Best Accessibility, and Best Narrative Design.
Taking place in the summer of 1996, Road 96 tasks the player with making their escape across the border and out of the tough nation of Petria. This high-stakes road trip will familiarize the player with varied, exciting environments, meeting fascinating characters all along the way. The story gives the player ton of room to pick how they will make their escape, and these stories will twist as the game progresses. With stunning graphics, and a soundtrack very much inspired by the sounds of the ‘90s, the game takes motivation from filmmakers such as Quentin Tarantino, and The Coen Brothers, making for a unique experience.
Road 96 is available now on both Steam and the Nintendo Switch, and will come out on PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on April 14.
