Famous filmmaker Sam Raimi, who started the franchise with the first Evil Dead film back in 1981, spoke to Bloody Disgusting about the series and it’s coming back.
“I’d love to make another one. I don’t think TV is in its future but we’re talking about – Bruce [Campbell], Rob [Tapert] and myself – one or two different ways to go for the next movie. We’d like to make another Evil Dead feature and in fact, we’re working on some ideas right now.”
Raimi has many ideas about how to make this possible. One if star Bruce Campbell wants to come back, another if Campbell sits the movie out and Fede Alvarez, who directed the 2013 remake, comes back, and a third idea if Campbell or Alvarez opt back in. He didn’t mention the third option, but said “I think you may see some action on the Evil Dead movie in the next six months.”
