This amazing new time looping narrative game from indie developers Cosmonaut Studios has just released a free demo on Steam for players to play. Their game Eternal Threads, which is being published by Secret Mode, is a single-player, non-linear, narrative puzzle adventure about the effects of time manipulation. That suggests it is a sandbox story that can be summarized in any order and players must exploit the decisions made by the condemned cast to change their fate.
This demo has players take the role of Operator 43, a recently qualified time-traveling operative working for the Second Chance Project. Tasked with removing corruption in the past and restoring the timestream, players are sent to the North of England in May 2015, where 6 people died in a house fire. By changing the housemates’ decisions in the week leading up to the fire, players will try to save all six people from the lethal blaze.
Eternal Threads will come out on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 19th, with plans to release on Nintendo Switch in the near future.
