Deep Silver Dambuster Studios has just released the latest gameplay trailer for one of the best sequels. Dead Island 2 has been in the works for nearly a decade and will ultimately be in gamers’ hands this Spring. The new gameplay trailer revealed weapons we can expect to see in the streets of Los Angeles and some of the diverse environments we can expect to slice up the undead.
The melee action is showcased in the trailer and contains some amazing shots of up-close zombie carnage. There are animations detailing degraded jaws and limbs falling off after hitting and slicing through the undead. The dismemberment system is being advertised as the most progressive in any game. The trailer also continues to reveal the tongue-in-cheek humor the game is offering with its story and NPCs. Clearly, Dead Island 2 is not going for an amazing survival take, and it’s a smart move.
Dead Island 2 will come with a three-player co-op and deliver a robust RPG experience. The game is promising ultimate replayability with the choice of 6 characters, all with their own unique skills and the ability to completely customize their skills as you progress through the game. Dead Island 2 is looking to be a wonderful time in paradise and is coming very soon.
Dead Island 2 will come out on April 28, 2023, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via EGS.
