DC’s THE FLASH Movie Teaser Trailer is a Big Tease of Amazing Stuff We Want To See

by ZeeshanN

The new movie is surrounded by hype, director Andy Muschietti’s The Flash got the most of that excitement is because Michael Keaton is coming back for his role as Bruce Wayne aka Batman in the movie! Then there’s also the whole DC multiverse thing that the film is going to break open.

Thanks to DC FanDome, we’ve got our first look at the movie today and it’s just a huge tease of all the cool things that are coming ours way! The promo teases Keaton’s Batman who says in the trailer, “Tell me something, you can go anywhere you want, right? Any timeline, any universe. Why do you want to stay and fight to save this one?”

The trailer highlights two separate versions of Ezra Miller as The Flash along with Sasha Calle as Supergirl as they approach Keaton’s Batman to ask if he wants to join them. We don’t get to see Keaton in full-on costume.

This surely looks like it’s going to tell an engaging story and I’m interested to see where they take it. I think that Berry Allan is looking to protect the universe that includes the best chance of saving his mom.

The movie also stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, and Ron Livingston and Maribel Verdú are playing Barry’s parents. Saoirse-Monica Jackson (Derry Girls) and Rudy Mancuso have also been cast in undisclosed roles.

This movie is going to crack open the DC multiverse, and the director teased “all that you’ve seen exists.” The Flash will see Barry Allen “breaking the bonds of physics to crash into various parallel dimensions, where he’ll encounter slightly different versions of DC’s classic heroes.”

The director explained things a bit further about how this new DC Multiverse is going to work in The Flash, saying:

“This movie is a bit of a hinge in the sense that it presents a story that implies a unified universe where all the cinematic iterations that we’ve seen before are valid. It’s inclusive in the sense that it is saying all that you’ve seen exists, and everything that you will see exists, in the same unified multiverse.”

He also said:

“I will tell you is that it’s a ride. It’s going to be fun and exciting and there are a lot of DC characters in it. Flash is the superhero of this film because he is the bridge between all of these characters and timelines. And in a way, it restarts everything and doesn’t forget anything.”

The director also explained that the movie will be a time travel story, saying:

“His mother was murdered, his father was trained and incarcerated, and all his journey from then was a man trying to make things right…the script really capture his loquacity, his personality…he’s someone who has the power of changing events of the past, but by doing so, can deteriorate the very fabric of the space-time continuum.”

The Flash is set to hit theaters on November 4, 2022.
