Universal Pictures unveiled a new trailer for writer and director D.J. Caruso’s upcoming film called Redeeming Love. The movie tells a romance story that’s set in the 1850s during the California Gold Rush. Caruso is known for directing films like Disturbia and Eagle Eye.
The movie is based on the bestselling novel by Francine Rivers, and it tells “a powerful story of relentless love and perseverance as a young couple’s relationship clashes with the harsh realities of the California Gold Rush of 1850. It is a life-changing story of the power of unconditional and all-consuming love.”
The movie stars Abigail Cowen and Tom Lewis as Angel and Michael. The rest of the cast includes Famke Janssen, Logan Marshall-Green, Nina Dobrev, Livi Birch, Eric Dane, Brandon Auret, Jamie-Lee O’Donnell, and Josh Taylor.
Redeeming Love will hit theaters starting on January 21st, 2022.
