Lionsgate unveiled the upcoming Florida-set serial killer thriller, Midnight in the Switchgrass. The movie stars Bruce Willis stars as FBI agent Karl Helter and Megan Fox as FBI agent Rebecca Lombardi as they join up to investigate a series of unsolved murder cases.
“FBI agents Helter (Willis) and Lombardo (Fox) cross paths with state cop Crawford, who’s investigating a string of female murders that appear to be related. Lombardo and Crawford team up for an undercover sting, but it goes horribly wrong, plunging Lombardo into grave danger and pitting Crawford against a serial killer in a twisted game of cat and mouse.”
The movie also stars Emile Hirsch, Lukas Haas, Machine Gun Kelly, Caitlin Carmichael, and Sistine Stallone. This movie looks like it was plucked right out of the ‘90s, and I kinda like those kinds of movies. I’ll give this one a go.
Midnight in the Switchgrass is directed by Randall Emmett, who is making his feature directorial debut after producing various movies such as The Irishman, Hard Kill, and Boss Level.
The movie will be released in select US theaters and on VOD on July 23rd, 2021.
