Xbox Series or PS5 is the hot topic these days and now we have Atari in the mix as well, it’s very hard to think of any other consoles being released. Well, Atari has a new surprise coming out soon. They recently revealed the Atari VCS console/PC hybrid. The VCS features a console to connect to your television, comes with wireless controllers, with more than 100 classic Atari games, upcoming games to add to your game library, and the ability to stream as well. And it will comes with support for 60fps at 4K resolution!
Atari VCS will be released next month, it will only have access to Atari Vault and some games that haven’t been revealed yet. However, there’s more than this modest machine can do. The VCS will have the power to dual boot into a PC mode which will let you install the 2nd OS like Windows and run platforms like Steam.
The VCS is now available to pre-order through Atari, GameStop, and Walmart for $389.99. Inside the console you will get a 32GB eMMC storage drive (there’s support for external devices and even cloud services), 8GB of RAM, the AMD Raven Ridge 2 APU, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4/5GHz, and Bluetooth 4.0. The new console comes with a wireless controller and wireless Atari joystick, this is not it when you connect a mouse and keyboard if you fancy.
