Bandai Namco Entertainment and Wayfarer Studios have collaborated to produce a live-action movie based on the classic arcade game Pac-Man.
Pac-Man was released by Namco back in 1980. Over the years Pac-Man has adapted into a Saturday morning cartoon from Hanna-Barbera, which aired on ABC from 1982-1983, and then there was the CG animated series Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, which was released on Disney XD in 2013.
The upcoming film project comes from an original concept from Lightbeam Entertainment’s Chuck Williams (Sonic the Hedgehog), and he will produce with Tim Kwok for Lightbeam.
There is no information regarding what the film’s story will tell, but here are a couple of live-action Pac-Man fan films that have been made over the years.
